The proposed work is a remade video loop based on the documentation and the performative installation Fuckniture named after a piece of live art that Rodrigo Red exhibited in various venues during 2012 and 2013 in Mexico City . The bodies are within the piece lacking a script and perform repetitive movements. They become a reminiscent of an ecosystem that has been frozen in time in a cycle way .
‚Ich bin eine Brasilianisch/Kanadische Künstlerin und bin gerade erst nach Ulm gezogen. Die letzten zehn Jahre war ich als Textil Künstler tätig mit dem Schwerpunkt auf `performative interactions` mit dem Publikum durch upcycling. In meiner Karriere habe ich erlebt wie empfänglich Menschen für die Umrüstung ihrer Kleidungsstücke sind, indem man neues Leben in Alte Gewänder bringt. Ich habe schon im größeren Stiel in Brasilien, Deutschland, England und Kanada ausgestellt.

„Mein Patenonkel, der mich am Tag meiner Taufe im Arm hielt, war Fotograf. Jahre später sichtete ich seine Aufnahmen zusammen mit meinem Großvater und entdeckte dabei Negative von Bildern, die er von mir als Kind gemacht hatte. Ich sah den festgehaltenen Augenblick glasklar vor mir und entdeckte mit Staunen das lachende, blondgelockte Mädchen von damals wieder.
Die Gefühle beim Anblick dieser Negative erklärten mir,
My godfather, who carried me in his arms on the day of my baptism, was a photographer. It was sorting through his effects many years later with my grandfather that I discovered the negatives of the pictures he’d taken of me when I was a child. The preserved moment was like crystal and I was amazed to rediscover the laughing little blonde curly-haired girl I had been.
